The Meaning of the Sacrifice of the Passover

Our Father Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother(God the Mother) saved the children with God’s blood. This truth is the very Passover.-----World Mission Society Church of God.

As the Bible says that faith is being sure of what we hope for, the people of Zion believe firmly in the prophecy and earnestly hope for the kingdom of God, and they are preaching the glory of Mother throughout the whole world. As a result, many souls are now coming back to Zion.

If we are proud of our Father and Mother and display Their glory, They will greatly bless us and allow us to achieve wonderful results. Now, let's take some time to think about the meaning of the sacrifice of the Passover and the flesh and blood of God given to us.

A mother saved her child with her own blood
There was a great earthquake in Russia, and a whole town was laid in ruins. At that time, a mother and her baby were buried alive under the rubble for several days. The mother lost consciousness when the building collapsed. At the cry of her baby, she barely recovered consciousness. Then she found out that the whole town had become a town of death and that she and her baby were buried under the ruins caused by the earthquake. She tried to breast-feed her crying baby, but the milk didn't come out well because she hadn't eaten or drunk anything, not even a sip of water, for several days. It was obvious that if they were not rescued, they would lose their lives.

The mother decided to do something extreme in order to keep her baby alive until a rescue squad arrived. She took a sharp stone, cut off part of her finger and let her baby drink the blood dripping from her finger.

After a while, a relief squad arrived to save the mother and her baby. Unfortunately, the mother had already died, but her baby who was sucking her finger was still alive and was safely rescued.

To save her baby, the mother tore her own flesh and let her child drink the blood flowing from it. It was an act of her extreme love to save her child.

Through this real story, we come to understand God's love for us. Like the mother, God gave us, who were destined to die, His flesh to eat and His blood to drink in order to grant us the forgiveness of sins and lead us to eternal life and salvation. Whenever we eat the Passover bread representing Christ's flesh and drink the Passover wine symbolizing His blood, we should not only rejoice in having eternal life but remember the holy love of our Father and Mother who saved our lives.

Passover, the love of God who gave His children His own flesh and blood
The child in the above story was drinking the blood dripping from his mother's finger, which was cut off, to satisfy his hunger. He was completely unaware of the fact that it was the blood of his mother who sacrificed her own life to save him. If we were previously just like this child, we should now think of God's love and sacrifice contained in the Passover.

Jn 6:53-57 『Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him. Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me."』

God has made a precious promise to mankind that whoever eats Jesus' flesh and drinks His blood will have eternal life, while the person who does not eat His flesh or drink His blood has no life in him. To save us His children, who were sinners from heaven, God didn't even hesitate to die for us on the cross. Through the sacrifice of God, we have received salvation and eternal life.

Just as the mother saved her child with the blood flowing from her finger at the critical moment, our Father and Mother gave Their flesh to eat and Their blood to drink in order to save us. They willingly gave us Themselves for Their children since it was the only way to save the sinners who were destined to die eternally.

Mt 26:17-19, 26-28 『". . . The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.' " So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover . . . While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take and eat; this is my body. Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you." This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins."』

The Passover bread and wine are given to mankind as the symbols of Christ's flesh and blood, having the promise of eternal life. It is God's sacrifice and love that we can ultimately discover through the Passover.

We are happy that we have eternal life by keeping the covenant of God, but we feel so sorry towards Father and Mother because They have sacrificed Themselves to give us eternal life. It is not God's will just to feel sorry or guilty. First, we should keep in mind how much our Father and Mother have suffered to save us and always give thanks to Them for Their grace. And we should willingly give ourselves to saving the whole world, just as our Father and Mother gave Themselves up for our salvation, so that we will enhance the value of the holy sacrifice of Father and Mother.

"Do this in remembrance of me"
The Passover is a feast that every member of the heavenly family must keep. The Apostle Paul emphasized that we should remember and celebrate the Passover and also proclaim it until Christ comes again.

1 Co 11:23-26 『For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me." In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me." For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.』

Christ wanted His children to remember the sacrifice of Father and Mother whenever they eat the Passover bread and drink the Passover wine; and before His ascension, He told them to proclaim His death by doing that until He comes. Through the Passover of the new covenant, we can discover God's infinite love for us and His great sacrifice that He has made to save us for 6,000 years. So, Jesus said that the Passover was the new covenant (Lk 22:20), and the Bible states that through the new covenant we have become God's heirs who will inherit the kingdom of God. Only those who understand the holy sacrifice and love of Father and Mother are worthy to be Their children and inherit the kingdom of heaven.

This beautiful story of the new covenant is ours alone, so not everyone can share it. There is no Passover in spiritual Babylon because the story of the Passover is not theirs. They abolished the Passover because it was a meaningless day for them. The Passover is the everlasting covenant established by God and a day to commemorate the sacrifice of the heavenly Father and Mother for Their children's salvation. Nevertheless, they insist that there is no need to keep the Passover. This is proof that they do not belong to the heavenly family.
However, it is a very important day for us, the heavenly family members. So in Zion we keep the Passover holy in remembrance of the love and sacrifice of our Father and Mother.

As God has loved us
God is love. Everything done by God, every purpose and will of God, has come through His love. The Passover is a feast that God has established through His love to give us life.

So, Jesus said at the Passover, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." Just as the mother saved her child by shedding her own blood in the aforesaid true story, God saved us by tearing His flesh and shedding His blood. As God loved us, so we should love one another.

1 Jn 4:7-11 『Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him . . . Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.』

1 Jn 4:16-21 『And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him . . . If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.』

Love comes from God our Father and God our Mother. Everything done by God has come through His love. Since He loves us, He has been waiting for us to be purified like pure gold refined in a furnace and become worthy to enter the kingdom of heaven, sometimes using discipline to correct us, sometimes shedding tears for us, sometimes rejoicing, sometimes groaning, only caring for our future and worrying that we may give in to the temptations of the devil and lose the eternal kingdom of heaven.

Therefore, we also ought to love one another with the heart of God. If we do not love one another, it proves that we still understand only the literal meaning of the Passover, viewing it merely as a ceremony of eating bread and drinking wine. In this situation God would say to us, "I gave you My own flesh and blood, so that you have gained life. Then, why can't you sacrifice for one another?"

Looking forward to the everlasting kingdom of heaven, we should faithfully follow the teachings of our Father and Mother. We should not grumble against each other or envy each other: If one achieves something, we need to share in his joy; if one faces difficulties, we need to encourage and comfort him. Without unity, the gospel work cannot be fulfilled. If we preach the gospel with the holy sacrifice and love that God has shown us, God's glorious work will be quickly accomplished.

Faith that acknowledges Father and Mother and boasts about Them
How can we not boast about God who has shown us the example of the holy sacrifice? Why are we hesitating to proclaim our Father and Mother who are so wonderful? We shall tell all the people of the earth about the gracious sacrifice and love of our Father and Mother and invite them to participate in the blood of Their sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins and salvation.

We should proclaim more proudly our Father and Mother who have made us what we are today through Their love. We believe in Mother not just because the Bible testifies about Her, but because She is our heavenly Mother who gave us Her flesh to eat and Her blood to drink to save us from sin. That is why we long for Her love and sacrifice and follow Her wherever She goes, as Her children, isn't it?

If we, God's children, have understood the sacrifice of our Father and Mother, we shall boldly proclaim Their names throughout the world. We should preach Jerusalem Mother to all people around the world, so that they may repent of their sins and come back into the arms of Jerusalem Mother. This is most pleasing to our Father.

1 Jn 4:13-15 『. . . If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God.』

About 2,000 years ago, God's people proved their faith in Jesus by acknowledging Him. In this age, however, we are required to have faith in the Spirit and the Bride and proclaim Them to all the people with gladness. Our Father and Mother willingly sacrificed Their lives for our salvation. Their children, who have understood Their sacrificial love for them, are now proudly telling the whole world about the goodness of Their Parents.

What if one is ashamed of his parents and tries to conceal things about them? They will not blame or punish him for that, but will feel sad. On the contrary, if a child is proud of his parents, saying, "My dad and mom are number one," how pleased will they be? Thinking about how our earthly parents feel, we can understand the heart of our heavenly Parents.

Now, God's children are proudly proclaiming the heavenly Father and Mother, and so many people around the world are coming to Zion to meet Father and Mother according to the prophecies. When we see this unparalleled amazing work of salvation occur every day, we feel that our heavenly Father opens all the doors for preaching, being pleased with our efforts.

God is love, so He has established the Passover of the new covenant to save His children. Now we celebrate the Passover every year; whenever we partake of the bread and wine, we should remember that the bread is God's flesh torn for us and the wine is His blood shed for us. Through the Passover, let us engrave again in our hearts the sacrifice of our Father and Mother and give thanks to Them for Their grace; let's put the love of God into action and proclaim the glory of our Father and Mother.

We must not become the foolish ones who say, "Lord, Lord, open the door for us!" after the door is shut. I hope all our brothers and sisters in Zion will do their best to preach the new covenant and confidently proclaim Jerusalem Mother, who is the reality of the new covenant, so that we will live a life that is pleasing and glorifying to our Father and Mother. May God bless you all with much good fruit!

World Mission Society Church of God practices the love of Christ.

First of all, I give praises to God Almighty who has led each age byHis providence and through His indestructible power.
The day is coming when we will see the glory of a new heaven and earth. And God has opened a new age for the Church of God and entrusted this church with the mission of the worldwide evangelization. We all church members are sensible of our responsibility for the mission. And we are trying to perform the mission that the Christ has given us (Matt. 28:18), doing good and practicing love.

Our church is the only true church which God has established on this earth (Acts 20:28). Through all ages and histories, there has constantly been good and evil and the two have been opposed to each other―truth has always hated falsehood, and falsehood truth.

In such history, truth has constantly been oppressed and persecuted. Even for an instant, however, falsehood has not been able to overcome truth, and darkness the light. For God has always been on the side of truth and in the light.

So is the Church of God. Even under severe persecution and false incrimination, our church has been keeping the faith and the spirit that the Early Church had, and has never bowed the knee to Baal. And now our church is taking the lead in the work of salvation, proclaiming the truth of God. The one and only reason our church exists on this earth is that it has the mission of doing the work of God. To fulfill the mission, we will preach the gospel and lead the world to eternal life, salvation and the kingdom of heaven with all our strength.

God says that truth is the light. Church of God will shine the light everywhere. For this church has the truth God has promised and He is always with this church. Every place the light does not shine on will be under the control of darkness―there will be only darkness and death.

We've learned holy sacrifice and love from God. That's why Church of God is trying to give such a love to the world. We will surely give the light to the people. We will give them the truth. And we will give them God's wondrous love.

In this new age, I hope that all who are endeavoring to enter the kingdom of heaven will abide in God's constant love. Grace and blessing to you from the Spirit and the Bride.

Great Blessings for Our Small Efforts

‘Let’s find our lost brothers and sisters in Arequipa and please our Heavenly Mother!’With this resolution, we planned a five-day short-term mission trip. Some of us didn’t have a lot of experience in preaching, but our hearts were burning with fervor. We decided to find our heavenly family by all means in order to shorten Mother’s suffering, and left for Arequipa, the second largest city in Peru, on Sunday afternoon, February 15, 2009.Arequipa is some distance away from Lima?it takes 16 hours by car from Lima to Arequipa. Unfortunately, our car even broke down on the road, so we arrived at our destination at 2 p.m. on Monday. The first thing we did when we arrived was to gather in the Arequipa Zion and earnestly pray to Father and Mother for allowing us to bear good fruit. We went straight to preach the gospel with the members of the Arequipa Zion. Surprisingly, less than an hour after we started to preach, a new life was born and eleven souls came into Mother’s arms on that day. We gave thanks to Father and Mother. As the rainy season started in Arequipa from the next day, there was a lot of rain and a big drop in temperature. Since we were accustomed to the desert climate with little rain, it was hard for us to adapt to the cold weather. Moreover, we didn’t have suitable clothing. However, we couldn’t step back because of rain or cold. Rather, we gathered our energy to preach the gospel, feeling Father and Mother’s sacrifice and giving thanks to Them for allowing us to follow Their way.When a member opened the Bible and preached the Word in the rainy park, another member next to her covered the Bible with her hands so that it wouldn’t get wet. The person, who at first showed no interest in the Word, began to listen to the gospel attentively. After she was told about the truth of Heavenly Mother, she opened her mind and received the truth in Zion. The truth about Heavenly Mother was surely the master key of the gospel; the people, who were very proud of being Catholic and stubborn, were very surprised when they heard about God the Mother and came to Zion to listen to the Word. We were greatly moved. Our enthusiasm did not cool down because of the joy of bearing fruit, even though we were freezing because of the weather. Unfortunately, Sister Julia, who was older than others, came down with a cold. However, she didn’t give up preaching, so the members had to urge her to rest. Yet, the next day, the sister earnestly asked the overseer to allow her to preach, watching the members going out to proclaim the glory of Heavenly Mother. “I’ll be careful not to affect my health, so please let me go preach.”Sister Julia returned with a young adult just 20 minutes after she went out. She was a beautiful soul who wanted to listen to the truth about Heavenly Mother.
of course, some people stubbornly refused to listen to the Word with excuses like they were busy; some denied the truth of the Bible, ridiculed us and spoke ill of us even though they claimed to believe in God. However, because we firmly believed the victory of God Elohim, we pushed on preaching the gospel, and as a result God led 49 souls to Zion. They all received the truth with conviction and were reborn as the children of heaven. What we did was just open our mouths and told the Word. It was God who moved their minds and performed everything. We felt the power of God who is always with His weak children, and we testified about Heavenly Father and Mother boldly anytime, anywhere. While we spent time together with the members of the Arequipa Zion, the words of the Bible seemed to come alive, “How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!” The members understood one another’s difficulties and were considerate of each other. If someone was worried because he didn’t bear fruit, everybody prayed for him and encouraged him; it was something that was beyond words.During the mission trip, I realized even one ten-thousandth of the great sacrifice of God Elohim. I want to be a stronger worker of the gospel, so that I can deliver the light of life to all people throughout the world. I hope we will soon return to our home in heaven where our Father dwells, with Heavenly Mother. Heavenly Father and Mother, You poured abundant blessings upon Your children, though we only made a small effort for the gospel! All glory and thanks and praise be to You forever!

Mother, the Example of Love and Patience

I always missed Mother. However, when I arrived in Korea, I was very nervous and fearful about meeting Mother; I felt like a child who made a mistake and hesitated to enter her home, being afraid that she would be scolded by her parents. I felt I was too sinful to come to Mother. However, Mother didn't rebuke me, a sinner, but hugged me in Her arms, saying, "I love you." To this sinner deserving of eternal punishment, Mother said that She loves me. Mother's love is truly amazing. While I stayed in Korea, I came to realize Mother's infinite love and sacrifice. Mother took care of everything-even the smallest things-for us, always staying with us. She served us with love and humility. Her tender smile filled our hearts with joy; Her words to enlighten our souls were reminiscent of our memory of heaven. Showing us a true example, which only God could give, Mother loved us with an untiring love. When we saw Korean brothers and sisters serving us from early morning until late at night, I realized that they were the people who truly realized Mother's love. Seeing them, I looked back upon myself who always wanted to be served. Whenever I saw Mother, I was reminded of Her years of suffering; She gave up Her heavenly glory and honor in order to seek Her lost children. I am a sinner who does not even deserve to see Mother, ask Her for the forgiveness of my sins or receive Her mercy, but Mother allowed me to stay beside Her and bestowed Her grace upon me. She has sacrificed everything for us; She is truly our Mother. Through this visit, I could realize many things which I had wanted to know. I saw and listened to Father's path of sacrifice at the Church History Museum. Father, who came for the second time for our salvation, wrote the Truth Books while doing arduous work such as carrying heavy stones, to make the new covenant known to His children and to give them eternal life. I tried carrying a stone which was similar to what Father had carried on His shoulder. Even when four sisters and I tried to lift the stone, we couldn't bear its weight. Feeling very sorry toward Father and being ashamed of myself, I started crying on the spot. It seemed like the heavy stone Father carried was my grievous sin. Mother taught us the necessity of the Holy Spirit and told us to ask Father for the Holy Spirit even in the smallest matters, so that we could follow God's will. This is Mother's wish for us in this age. Following the words of Mother, I want to be a gospel worker who works according to God's will, not to my own will. Even though it was a short visit, the time spent with Mother in Korea was like a dream. I will never forget the precious moments. I didn't really want to part from Mother, but I knew that Mother's will for us is to accomplish the gospel of the heavenly kingdom in our own situations, so I committed myself to carrying out the mission of preaching to the fullest when I returned to Peru. I will walk the path of true faith, following the example of love and patience Mother has showed us. I hope that every member of Zion will do the gospel work always with gratitude in their given circumstances, remembering the sacrifice of Heavenly Father and Mother. Mother, You give us power to overcome all difficulties in this troubled world and guide us to the bright heavenly way. Looking forward to the day You sits on Your glorious throne in heaven, I give all glory, honor, and praise to You, Mother!

The people of Israel claimed to believe in God,and the people of Judah boasted that they were the chosen people. Nevertheless, they were all destroyed. That’s because they refused to obey the words of God,“Keep the Passover!”
In this age, too, if we keep the Passover, we are saved; but if we don’t, we are destroyed even though we claim to be the people of God.

We can eat the Jesus` flesh and drink his blood through the passover's bread & wine.
The bible testifies that if we don`t keep the passover, no one can get the eternal life.

By the way, why don`t most Christian know the passover?

-BOOK OF THE HYSTORY-

The Emperor Constantine was the chairman at this religious council which was held in Nicaea from May to June in A.D. 325. At this council, it was decided to abolish the Passover and to keep the Resurrection Day, so-called Easter, and the date of Easter was appointed as the 1st Sunday after the 1st full moon after the vernal equinox. It was not possible to keep the Resurrection Day on the appointed date in the Bible because the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread were abolished.

God comes to this earth a second time to restore the passover which is abolished by satan

Heb 9:28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
Second coming Jesus must bring the passover of eternal life
Ahnsahnghong, who restored the Passover of the new covenant, is the Second Coming Christ who appeared in accordance with all of the prophecies of the Bible.

Most people wanna to be happy. However, we will die some day.

Remember the man, Alexander the Great ,Elizabeth... They had lots of wealth,fame.. but they died.

We don`t talk about happy unless we have eternal life.

Then how can we get the eternal life? Only God has the eternal life

1 TI 6:16 who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen.

SO, If we wanna get the eternal life, we should know God.

Jesus came to this earth for our salvation (Heb 9:28)SO, he gave us his body and blood.

Then, how do we eat Jesus` body & drink the Jesus` blood?

1) The scapegoat stands for SatanIn the Old Testament times, the priest sacrificed a bull as his sin offering, and a goat was sacrificed on behalf of the people. Then, lots were cast to decide the destiny of two goats. One goat was to be sacrificed for God and the other was to be named the "scapegoat," and to die after wandering in the solitude of the desert. The sins of the people had been temporarily held in the Most Holy Place, and on the Day of Atonement, all of these sins were transferred to the head of the scapegoat to be sent away and die in the desert. This process reveals that our sins are heaped onto Satan through the Feasts (such as the Passover and the Day of Atonement) after being temporarily carried by Christ—the reality of the Most Holy Place. Satan will be very troubled by carrying the weight of all of our sins and will be eventually destroyed in the Abyss—the uninhabited land represented by the desert. We come to understand this principle through celebrating the Day of Atonement (Lev. 16:6-22). (2) Entering the Most Holy PlaceThe Day of Atonement is the day, once a year, when the high priest enters the Most Holy Place, alone. Heb. 9:7 『But only the high priest entered the inner room, and that only once a year, and never without blood, which he offered for himself and for the sins the people had committed in ignorance.』

The Word & the Truth]-The Origin of Atonement

After being released from Egypt, the Israelites lived in the desert for forty years. God called Moses to Mount Sinai and gave him the laws through which He would rule over the people. In response to God's calling, Moses went up Mount Sinai. After fasting for forty days and nights, Moses received the Ten Commandments which God, Himself, had written. When Moses did not return from the mountain, even after forty days, the Israelites began to assume that he must have died. They thought that they had lost their leader, and some suggested that they make a god to lead them into the land of Canaan. Hence, the Israelites crafted a golden calf and worshipped it, eating, drinking and dancing around it. When Moses came down from Mount Sinai, the sight shocked and enraged him, and he threw the tablets out of his hands, shattering them at the foot of the mountain. He set fire to the golden calf that the Israelites had worshipped so lewdly, and then he ground the charred remains into a powder. Moses scattered the ashes on the water and made the Israelites drink it, and about three thousand people died by the sword. The Israelites who had sinned against God by worshipping idols thus bitterly repented of their deeds, and, in response, God gave Moses a new set of stone tablets inscribed with the Ten Commandments. God's allowing His laws for a second time implied that He had forgiven them for their sins. The day on which Moses had been given the Ten Commandments for a second time was the Day of Atonement, which was to be commemorated every year (Ex. 32:1-35).

Jericho and Babylon

Now our brothers and sisters in Zion are preaching the gospel fervently in their given circumstances: students at school, employees at work, soldiers in the army, housewives in their neighborhoods. As we preach so eagerly, God has weakened the power of Babylon. These days, even those who have been in Babylon for a long time now seek the true faith according to the Bible and receive the truth. This is the current trend in the gospel. Babylon is to fall as prophesied in the Bible. Babylon's fall can be likened to the fall of Jericho in the days of Joshua. It was the work of God that the fortified walls of Jericho fell down flat before the Israelites. Since all the people of Israel obeyed the word of God, they were able to destroy Jericho and obtain the land of Canaan flowing with milk and honey. Now we are living in the prophetic age when Babylon is falling down. All of us should shout and preach. When we boldly proclaim the glory of Father and Mother and tell the good news of salvation to all people around the world, Babylon will fall according to the prophecy and the kingdom of God will come soon. Babylon the Great which is fallen, and Jericho 2,000 years ago, Apostle John saw a vision of what would take place in the future on the island of Patmos, and prophesied about the destruction of Babylon the Great. Rev 18:1-10 『After this I saw another angel coming down from heaven. He had great authority, and the earth was illuminated by his splendor. With a mighty voice he shouted: "Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great! She has become a home for demons and a haunt for every evil spirit, a haunt for every unclean and detestable bird. For all the nations have drunk the maddening wine of her adulteries. The kings of the earth committed adultery with her, and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries." Then I heard another voice from heaven say: "Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues; for her sins are piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her crimes. . . . She will be consumed by fire, for mighty is the Lord God who judges her. When the kings of the earth who committed adultery with her and shared her luxury see the smoke of her burning, they will weep and mourn over her. Terrified at her torment, they will stand far off and cry: ‘Woe! Woe, O great city, O Babylon, city of power! In one hour your doom has come! Babylon, which is so great and strong that no one dares look down on, is finally falling since God's judgment has come upon her. The scene where Babylon is falling is just like the scene where Jericho fell down in ancient Israel. The city of Jericho, which stood before the Israelites, fell down helplessly before the power of God. Everything that occurred in the past is a shadow of what is to come. In the past history of the Old Testament as a shadow, the great city Jericho fell down. This is closely related to the destruction of Babylon the Great. Comparing Jericho with Babylon, let's think about what kind of faith God's people should have in this age. Jos 6:1-5 『. . . Then the LORD said to Joshua, "See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with its king and its fighting men. March around the city once with all the armed men. Do this for six days. Have seven priests carry trumpets of rams' horns in front of the ark. On the seventh day, march around the city seven times, with the priests blowing the trumpets. When you hear them sound a long blast on the trumpets, have all the people give a loud shout; then the wall of the city will collapse and the people will go up, every man straight in."』 On the way to the entrance to the land of Canaan, the barrier that the Israelites encountered first was a strong fortress, Jericho. Without conquering the fortress, they couldn't attain the land of Canaan flowing with milk and honey. It was a mountain they had to get over and a process they had to pass. Then God showed them how to conquer Jericho easily, and all the people obeyed what He said. Jos 6:15-20 『On the seventh day, they got up at daybreak and marched around the city seven times in the same manner, except that on that day they circled the city seven times. The seventh time around, when the priests sounded the trumpet blast, Joshua commanded the people, "Shout! For the LORD has given you the city! . . ." When the trumpets sounded, the people shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the people gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed; so every man charged straight in, and they took the city.』 When the people marched around the city seven times, Joshua said it was time to get ready and commanded the people, "Shout!" Then the people shouted with one mind. At that moment, something unbelievable happened before their very eyes. God made the walls of Jericho fall down and gave the people victory as He had promised them.

I never imagined that I would have the opportunity to travel to South Korea, let alone to meet God. Before I share a little about myself and my experience, I would like to thank our Father Christ Ahnsahnghong and our Heavenly Mother New Jerusalem for finally opening my eyes and allowing me to understand my purpose here on earth. I was raised in a Jewish family. But, unlike my cousins, even though I celebrated certain Jewish holidays, I never went to Hebrew school or learned much about Judaism at all. Growing up, I wasn't forced into religion and while I felt a little lost when I was younger. Now I realize that it was part of Mother and Father's plan for me. I was very uncomfortable when people discussed religion of any sort because I didn't know what to believe. I always said that I thought there must be a God but didn't know anything about Him. One day, at my former job, a coworker briefly mentioned her church and something from the Bible. Before I knew it, we were doing studies on our breaks and lunches. Little did I know that 6 months later I would be baptized for the first time in my life and into the truth no less. Once I studied the prophecies about Jesus, I couldn't deny that He was the Christ and was amazed that my ancestors could be so blind. Once I accepted Father at His first coming, the rest fell into place perfectly.I was baptized on March 4th, 2008 and from that day on I realized how much Mother and Father had completely changed my life. Thanks to Mother and Father, I was able to visit Korea last October. Honestly, I had no idea how I would feel when I was able to see Mother for the first time. It was surreal thinking about this opportunity, and a little overwhelming at the same time. When our bus arrived at Elohim that first night, Mother was right there waiting to greet us at the steps of the bus. It was difficult to breathe as She hugged me and told me She loved me. It took me a while to stop crying that first night. The next few days were completely different for me. I was content just seeing Mother in the room with us, and feeling the love She showed so freely. Her smile was contagious. She was so humble and gracious; She even served us soup one night during dinner. Our Heavenly Mother always made sure She set the perfect example for us. Why is it so hard for us to follow that example? Throughout my trip, I realized that there was so much more I needed to learn besides studying the Bible. Everywhere we went we were greeted with smiles and tears. It was an amazing feeling. I can say that I truly felt Mother's love through our Korean brothers and sisters. I had the opportunity to ask Mother for the strength to follow Her teachings and can only pray that I am able to love as unconditionally as They do. Above all, I learned how arrogant I can be and how much Mother and Father humbled Themselves to teach us the truth. During the trip, we saw the Church of God Museum and the replica of the house Father lived in and where He wrote our precious Truth Books. They endured so much hardship and persecution, so much more than most of us will ever experience in our short lives here. I felt horrible for complaining about petty things in my life, and realized that They already did everything for me. They sacrificed and endured through the toughest situations so that we can have no excuse.It is simple. I need to show Them the same love that They have shown me, by following Their example and preaching the truth that They suffered so much for, to restore for our salvation.

True Happiness Found in Mother

Where do I begin? There were so many scenarios in my head about what it would be like to see Mother. I had seen the videos and heard many fragrances. I felt as though I could imagine what it was like. This could not have been further from the truth, even though my whole life was preparing me for this moment, I had no idea how much my perspective would change in just ten short days. No words can describe the feeling you get just being in the same room as Mother. Even now as I try to write the only term that comes to my mind is inexpressible. I could only imagine that it was like how heaven must be no worries or cares, only trying to take in every moment and keep it somehow.Before coming to the truth, I was so worldly, only having physical goals: Like how I could make more money, how I could have the best stuff, anything to make myself happy. I didn’t realize the whole time there was nothing I could do that could make me happy. Father and Mother called me out of darkness and into Their light in January of 2007; They brought me into true happiness. Even though my husband had preached to me for nearly 6 years, I continued to judge and persecute and hold onto my physical life. Father and Mother full of love were so patient with this rebellious child. For this patience and mercy I am eternally thankful to my Heavenly Parents. Visiting Korea, I knew there was so much I wanted to thank Mother for, also so much I wanted to apologize for.In the days leading up to the trip, I began to think what it was that I really wanted to learn in Korea. I felt like I lacked understanding in so many areas though I had knowledge. So whereas I knew Father and Mother loved us, I wanted to understand how much. In my heart if this was accomplished, then I truly learned something worth sharing. My prayers were answered when some of the sacrifice our Parents made was revealed to us. I knew They left Their heavenly thrones and came to this earth, bound by the flesh. However, because this sacrifice is in a realm which we cannot conceive, They sacrificed more. They forsook all things?food, warmth and sleep, and the list went on an on. How could this be possible? Only because They are God and because of the love They have for Their children, it is possible. Learning how much They had given up for our eternal life was something that weighed so heavily on my heart. I felt so ashamed for taking my salvation for granted and not thinking about the path that Father and Mother walked in order that I may receive it.As the days passed by, I began to see Mother differently. In the beginning I could only think about Her as God who knows all things, but then I started to see Her as my Mother who has loved me from creation despite my many imperfections. Mother never hesitated to tell us how much She loved us or grab our hand if the opportunity was available, anything to demonstrate to us Her love, even listening to nearly one hundred brothers and sisters practice preaching, always encouraging and smiling, making you feel so comfortable. Before we left, Mother earnestly prayed for Her children to receive strength to endure in these last days. Though I came to Korea with curiosity, I left with certainty that Father and Mother are God Almighty and They love us so much and also that with Them all things are possible. Now returning back to the states, I want to hold onto all the blessing and love that Mother gave me and shine Her glory to the world. Though only a portion of this gospel work is left to be complete, I pray that all of my brothers and sisters receive the Holy Spirit and work diligently till we can be together with our Heavenly Father and Mother and live in unity with perfect happiness eternally

God’s Love Melted My Hardened Heart

First and foremost I would like to give thanks, honor and glory to Father and Mother for allowing me to go to Korea. This trip was truly a blessing. I have been in the truth for two years and due to many obstacles, I was not able to go to Korea until last October. Thanks to the help of my brothers and sisters, it was possible.While in Korea, I learned many valuable lessons. First is my knowledge and understanding of Father and Mother, secondly love and patience and thirdly, obedience.When I first arrived in Korea and met Mother for the first time, I was very nervous, even to the point of not being able to talk. It was more of a shock than anything else. My reaction was not what I had expected, so I was a little disappointed. As I looked around, I noticed that some brothers and sisters were shedding tears. As the days went on, Mother made more appearances and still I had no reaction at all, just a numb feeling. So every day I would pray to Father and Mother to allow me to really understand who God is. My teacher told me that if we look at only the physical appearances and not the spiritual side, we cannot see the glory of Mother. Finally on the Sabbath day, I was able to see the glory of Mother. The tears just came from out of nowhere. It was the most wonderful feeling in the world. How blissful it was to know that I was in the presence of God in the flesh. The love that was seen while in Korea was remarkable. Every day our Korean brothers and sisters took really good care of us. It started from the moment we arrived at the airport and up until the time we left. They rushed to carry our bags and even provided us with a meal. If we were sick, they came running to help by providing medicine and comforting. They got up early to prepare breakfast for us and they also worked really hard sacrificing their time to prepare all of our meals. They made sure that we had everything that we needed. I could feel the love of Mother through them because it is a part of Mother’s teaching that we should love one another by serving each other.While in Korea, we saw a play about why we were cast out of heaven to the earth. Even though it was just a small portion of what we did in heaven, it was enough to help us understand our sinful nature. When we were in heaven, Satan deceived us and tricked us into eating the forbidden fruit. This fruit consists of hate, envy, jealousy, etc. By eating the fruit we disobeyed our Father and Mother and we began to quarrel with one another. However the most important lesson from this play is that even though we were cast down to this earth, we still carry those same sinful characteristics. So in order for us to go back to heaven, we must cleanse ourselves of these sinful things. By cleansing ourselves, we are being obedient to our Father and Mother. They left Their heavenly throne and came down to this earth in the flesh, sacrificing Themselves, to show us how we can have salvation. Just being in Korea and seeing the terrain features of that country, Father and Mother endured many sufferings, walking in the rain, snow and up and down the mountains. Now that I know how difficult it was, it saddens my heart to know that I caused Them all this suffering. Since my return from Korea, I have decided to work harder. All the excuses that I had are unacceptable for not doing the gospel work. I have made more of an effort to attend preaching meetings. I preach the gospel even more at work and wherever I go. I have made a plan to preach to my physical family; hopefully through the gospel, we will be able to join hands as brothers and sisters. I haven’t borne any new fruits since being back, but I know I need to be patient and not give up hope. When the time is right, Father and Mother will allow me to bear fruit. I give praise, honor, and glory to Father and Mother for allowing me to know this precious truth every day.

50 Overseas Members Visited Jerusalem Temple in Korea According to the Prophecy

"Do not treat prophecies with contempt. Korean members of the Church of God experience this word of God when they meet their brothers and sisters who have flown from abroad like clouds, like doves, according to the prophecy in Isaiah chapter 60. From November 15 to 28, 50 overseas members visited Korea: 42 from Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, San diego, Denver, Miami, and Washington in the United States, 5 from New Delhi and Mumbai in India, and 3 from Kathmandu in Nepal. It is a rare case that American people, who delivered Christianity to Korea in the past, visited Korea to study the truth of the Bible. Worldwide Christians are continually decreasing in number. But wherever the truth of the Church of God is preached, the believers are increasing very quickly all over the world.
The members who visited Korea this time have a different kind of job such as university student, soldier, worker, and etc., but they arranged to visit Korea together by controling their holiday schedules. Their titles in the Church also were different: new comer, deacon, missionary. But they were all fluttering with the same wish to be blessed in the arms of heavenly Jerusalem. On their arrival day, Mother warmly welcomed Her children one by one from the members of New delhi who arrived first at 2 p.m. and to the members of New York and Mumbai who arrived at midnight. From the next day, the overseas members began the day, studying the words of God, and finished the day also with the words of God. They gave thanks to God with joy, saying, "Of course, we had been studying the words of God diligently in my own country. But now, during our stay in Korea, Mother gives us blessing abundantly, so that we can understand the truth more deeply and preach the truth more courageously." Korean members were impressed by the overseas brothers and sisters who studied the Bible and practised preaching until late even though they must have felt tired physically due to the jet lag.
They not only studied the Bible, but also had a joyful time with the heavenly family in Korea; some Korean members brought various kinds of food which foreigners like, some prepared heartfelt gifts, and some performed a dance for them. When Korean members greeted them, "God bless you," in English, they answered, "Bok mahni badeuseyo," in Korean. They took pictures together, saying, "We love you," "Sarang habnida! (We love you.)" The foreign members as well as Koreans always smiled. Their smiling faces in the photos looked after one another beyond all borders.Above all things, what most impressed the overseas brothers and sisters was the love of Mother. Mother comforted every single one of the 50 members, gave counsel to each of them, encouraged them whenever they presented their preaching, and worried about whether or not anyone felt comfortable. Mother served them all the time. Through Mother, the members deeply realized the sacrifice of Christ and learned how to serve others.
WATVThey said, "Korean brothers and sisters served us with a whole heart. They made us realize that we, too, have to serve our brothers and sisters as they did," "We wanted to ask Mother how to serve our brothers, but we have already given the answer. Mother Herself showed us an example." The overseas members call Korea the blessed land full of love of Mother. Before leaving Korea, Deaconess Stephanie M. Jones from the Church in Denver asked the Korean brothers to deliver her word to the Koreans who'd not received the gospel yet, "Korea is a blessed country, where God prophesied to come, so I hope that all Koreans, more than other country peoples, get salvation by listening to this truth."

Finishing about 10 day long visit, they shared warm farewell and got on the airplanes to go back to their countries. Giving thanks to God, they said, "We especially felt the love of heavenly family," "We saw Mother's sacrifice and realized the importance of unity." "We will preach the great love of God that we experienced in Korea to many people." They were full of aspiration for the gospel along with the love of God.

So, the Bible says that the crucible for silver and the furnace for gold, but God tests our heart (Pr 17:3).The reason God tests our heart is that He wants to make us, His children, more precious and shining than pure gold, through the process of testing. Let's see through the Bible how God makes us the most valuable creatures while He is on this earth, and take some time to think about where to go or what to do.A valuable lifeThe following are from Ripley's "Believe It or Not." A five dollar lump of metal can be made into a horse's shoe worth 50 dollars. If it is refined and made into the hands of a watch, it can produce a value of 5,000 dollars. When a lump of metal is made into a horse's shoe, it just creates a value of 50 dollars, but if it is made into watch hands, it can produce a value 100 times greater than a horse's shoe.However, if it is made into a watch, it can produce a value of 50,000 dollars. When a five dollar lump of metal is changed to another form and used, it can create a value 10,000 times greater than the original one.The same material produces different values according to how it is used. It is the same with the people who believe in God. We are sinners who were doomed to eternal death because of our sins. Such valueless beings have been called by God's grace. According to how we use the talents, which God has given to each of us, in accordance with our faith, we produce different spiritual values from one another.We are all God's children called by God, but some of us play a role worthy of 50 dollars, some a role of 5,000 dollars, and others a role of 50,000 dollars. How much value do you want to have as the children of heaven when you stand before God after your life on this earth? Everybody wants to be the most valuable being. Then, what kind of life should we live in faith so that we can produce the greatest value? We need to always think it over and try to possess the greatest value.Jesus' disciples who were called to do valuable workJesus, who came to this earth in order to save mankind, first went along the sea of Galilee when He began to preach the gospel. At that time, Peter, Andrew, James and John, who were fishermen, were preparing their nets as usual. Then Jesus called them and made them "fishers of men." Mt 4:17-22 『From that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near." As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." At once they left their nets and followed him. Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them, and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.』God wanted to make His children the most valuable beings. Although we were spiritually sinners who were destined for death, God called us and allowed us to be born again to live a new, valuable life.Parents spare no pain and sacrifice for their children; they encourage their children to do what brings them happiness and success and set an example for them, guiding and helping them to achieve it. It is the same with our spiritual Parents. They said, "Come, follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men." Jesus didn't call His disciples just to cause them to suffer, but He called them to have the special experience of producing the most gracious and beautiful value in the world.If the apostles had only got caught up in their daily routine of making a living, they would not have been able to live such a valuable and shining life. There were numerous people 2,000 years ago, but most of them have not even been remembered by the following generations. However, the apostles like Peter and John are still remembered today, even after 2,000 years; we examine the words written by them and share grace together by talking about their works of good faith. The apostles spared no effort and sacrifice to save souls. Their life was so valuable that they were worthy of being respected not only by people on this earth but also by angels in heaven. To give them such a wonderful blessing, Jesus went along the sea of Galilee and called them to be His disciples.There is a great deal of difference in value between those who have received Christ and those who have not, even though they are all human beings. Think about the lives of the chief priests and the Pharisees who were regarded as capable and respectable people in those days, and about the life of Judas Iscariot. They were just like a five dollar lump of metal. Rather, they were worth less than five dollars, if we consider the words of Jesus, "It would be better for him if he had not been born" (Mt 26:24).However, the value of Peter, John, James and Paul was very great; Jesus made them shine like pure gold and brilliant like a precious jewel. Let's keep in mind again that saving the whole world is the way to live the most beautiful and valuable life as God's children.Gospel workers live a valuable lifeJust as the same material produces a different value according to how it is used, the same person can produce a different spiritual worth according to how he is used. It will be the most valuable life if we are used in the work of God?the gospel?above all else, following the example of Christ who came to this earth in order to make us the most valuable beings. 2 Co 3:5-6 『. . . but our competence comes from God. He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant?not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.』God wants us to be the gospel workers; He is most pleased when we preach the new covenant. By human standards, it may not seem so valuable, but the Bible shows that from God's point of view, the workers of the new covenant are the people who possess the greatest value.No matter how competent a doctor may be on this earth, he cannot raise the dead and give them eternal life. However great a man's power is, he has no authority to allow people into heaven. However, the workers of the new covenant are preaching the Passover that can save the souls, who are doomed to die because they sinned against God in heaven, and lead them safely to the kingdom of heaven. God has acknowledged those who guide all people to the path of life and help them to live a valuable life as the most valuable beings.That's why the apostles including Peter followed Jesus' call immediately and delightfully. At that time, they probably didn't know that following Jesus was the way to the glory of the everlasting heavenly kingdom, but where are they now? They must be greatly rejoicing with an inexpressible and glorious joy right beside God.We should never give up such a meaningful and valuable life or turn away from it. According to what kind of work we do, our value becomes different. The Gospel workers who earned ten more minasLk 19:11-26 『. . . "A man of noble birth went to a distant country to have himself appointed king and then to return. So he called ten of his servants and gave them ten minas. ‘Put this money to work,' he said, ‘until I come back.' . . . He was made king, however, and returned home. Then he sent for the servants to whom he had given the money, in order to find out what they had gained with it. The first one came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has earned ten more.' ‘Well done, my good servant!' his master replied. ‘Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.' The second came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has earned five more.' His master answered, ‘You take charge of five cities.' Then another servant came and said, ‘Sir, here is your mina; I have kept it laid away in a piece of cloth. . . .' His master replied, ‘I will judge you by your own words, you wicked servant! You knew, did you, that I am a hard man, taking out what I did not put in, and reaping what I did not sow? Why then didn't you put my money on deposit, so that when I came back, I could have collected it with interest?' Then he said to those standing by, ‘Take his mina away from him and give it to the one who has ten minas.' ‘Sir,' they said, ‘he already has ten!' He replied, ‘I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what he has will be taken away.' "』With the same mina, one person earned ten more minas and another five more minas, but the other just kept the mina which he had received. Through this parable, we need to think again about how we are carrying out the spiritual mission that we have received from God today.God has entrusted all the children of God in Zion with the gospel?the mission of preaching the truth of eternal life to all mankind. With the same gospel, some gain ten more minas, some five more, and others just keep it to themselves. This will determine their value forever.Our value is decided according to how hard we work for the gospel on this earth; there is no more opportunity to work in heaven. Considering this fact carefully, we, the apostles of the gospel, should perform the mission given to each of us graciously during our God-given time on this earth.1 Th 2:1-4 『. . . For the appeal we make does not spring from error or impure motives, nor are we trying to trick you. On the contrary, we speak as men approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please men but God, who tests our hearts.』It is because God has approved us that He has entrusted us with the gospel. Since God has called us and made us workers for the gospel which is more valuable than anything else, we should obey the will of God with thankful hearts, and make efforts to please God rather than men.Let's live a life that brings the highest valueGod is pleased with the workers of the gospel and puts a seal on them. This seal is the mark of redemption which men are not able to see but angels can see. Rev 14:1-4 『Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads. . . . These are those who did not defile themselves with women, for they kept themselves pure. They follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They were purchased from among men and offered as firstfruits to God and the Lamb.』Just as a renowned calligrapher puts his chop (seal) only on his best work, God has put His seal engraved with His name on the foreheads of those who are redeemed, and has given them the glorious title "firstfruits." God has acknowledged His people as the perfect beings who have the highest value among all people, and has written His name on their foreheads.This is a blessing given not only to the 144,000 but also to all who keep the new covenant. The Bible says that there is a great multitude that no one can count and that all people around the world will stream to Zion in order to learn the ways of God. So, we need to become vessels great enough to receive all our brothers and sisters who are streaming from around the world?all those whom God sends. Nothing is impossible with God. We should give ourselves fully to the mission of preaching the gospel, believing the prophecies, so that our faith will not grow weak and become a hindrance to them.If Peter, Andrew, John and James had not done anything after they were called by Jesus, their deeds would not have been recorded anywhere in the Bible. They learned from Jesus and followed His example, always thinking over ‘how they could lead more souls to the truth of life and salvation' or ‘how they could lead all people around the world from hell to heaven?' While doing so, they preached the gospel with boldness. Even though they were persecuted, despised and afflicted, they devoted themselves to saving souls to the end, so Jesus promised them the blessings of heaven, saying, "You are those who have stood by me in my trials. And I confer on you a kingdom, just as my Father conferred one on me, so that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel" (Lk 22:28:30).Let's all be children of God who are valuable and pleasing in God's sight. Even though God has called and allowed us to participate in the most valuable work, if we just stay silent without doing the work, we cannot save the world. All our brothers and sisters in Zion around the world! I earnestly pray that you will all be changed in accordance with God's will and diligently carry out the mission as the workers of the new covenant in the given circumstances, by leading all people around the world to the kingdom of heaven.
