WMS COG,AHNSAHNGHONG]-Fragrance of Zion

Mother, the Example of Love and Patience

NATION Peru
NAME Jennifer Sanchez

I always missed Mother. However, when I arrived in Korea, I was very nervous and fearful about meeting Mother; I felt like a child who made a mistake and hesitated to enter her home, being afraid that she would be scolded by her parents. I felt I was too sinful to come to Mother. However, Mother didn't rebuke me, a sinner, but hugged me in Her arms, saying, "I love you." To this sinner deserving of eternal punishment, Mother said that She loves me. Mother's love is truly amazing. While I stayed in Korea, I came to realize Mother's infinite love and sacrifice. Mother took care of everything-even the smallest things-for us, always staying with us. She served us with love and humility. Her tender smile filled our hearts with joy; Her words to enlighten our souls were reminiscent of our memory of heaven. Showing us a true example, which only God could give, Mother loved us with an untiring love. When we saw Korean brothers and sisters serving us from early morning until late at night, I realized that they were the people who truly realized Mother's love. Seeing them, I looked back upon myself who always wanted to be served. Whenever I saw Mother, I was reminded of Her years of suffering; She gave up Her heavenly glory and honor in order to seek Her lost children. I am a sinner who does not even deserve to see Mother, ask Her for the forgiveness of my sins or receive Her mercy, but Mother allowed me to stay beside Her and bestowed Her grace upon me. She has sacrificed everything for us; She is truly our Mother. Through this visit, I could realize many things which I had wanted to know. I saw and listened to Father's path of sacrifice at the Church History Museum. Father, who came for the second time for our salvation, wrote the Truth Books while doing arduous work such as carrying heavy stones, to make the new covenant known to His children and to give them eternal life. I tried carrying a stone which was similar to what Father had carried on His shoulder. Even when four sisters and I tried to lift the stone, we couldn't bear its weight. Feeling very sorry toward Father and being ashamed of myself, I started crying on the spot. It seemed like the heavy stone Father carried was my grievous sin. Mother taught us the necessity of the Holy Spirit and told us to ask Father for the Holy Spirit even in the smallest matters, so that we could follow God's will. This is Mother's wish for us in this age. Following the words of Mother, I want to be a gospel worker who works according to God's will, not to my own will. Even though it was a short visit, the time spent with Mother in Korea was like a dream. I will never forget the precious moments. I didn't really want to part from Mother, but I knew that Mother's will for us is to accomplish the gospel of the heavenly kingdom in our own situations, so I committed myself to carrying out the mission of preaching to the fullest when I returned to Peru. I will walk the path of true faith, following the example of love and patience Mother has showed us. I hope that every member of Zion will do the gospel work always with gratitude in their given circumstances, remembering the sacrifice of Heavenly Father and Mother. Mother, You give us power to overcome all difficulties in this troubled world and guide us to the bright heavenly way. Looking forward to the day You sits on Your glorious throne in heaven, I give all glory, honor, and praise to You, Mother!

WMS COG]-Fragrance of Zion

Prophesied Visit, and Awakening Souls
NATION India
NAME Su-jeong Kim

“Did they arrive well in Korea?”“Is there any news from Korea?”“When are they coming back?”The Mumbai Church members asked these questions every day ever since the 13 brothers and sisters left India to visit Korea. How much did they also want to go to the country where Heavenly Father came and Heavenly Mother dwells? I could feel how sad and anxious the members felt, who were unable to join the visiting group due to their difficult circumstances. My heart was broken when I saw them. They all eagerly waited for the visiting group to come back. More precisely, they were waiting for the armfuls of Mother’s fragrance that the visiting group members would bring back with them. “We love you! We love you!”Late at night on June 18, the members finally arrived at the Andheri International Airport in Mumbai. Their faces were shining bright probably because they received the Holy Spirit abundantly. They must have been very tired after following busy schedules in Korea and taking a long flight. Despite their fatigue, they began to share the fragrance of Zion with us as soon as they saw us. “We were greatly moved. Ah, Mother . . .”They looked so happy and continually told us stories, recollecting their time they spent with Mother. Standing there at the airport, we shared God’s grace together for quite some time. On the following Sabbath day, we were busier and happier than usual, hearing the gracious news from the members who had visited Korea and watching the video that Mother granted us.“Although Mother is God, She clothed Herself with flesh and came to this earth. And She hugged us one by one, saying She loves us.”“It is very natural, rather an honor, for us to go see Mother. Nevertheless, She said that She felt sorry to us for coming all the way from such far-off countries. Can you believe it? How come God says to us, sinners, ‘I am sorry’? Mother is love, love itself.”“Before I went to Korea, I prepared many things to say, thinking a lot about what I should tell Mother when I met Her. However, when I saw Mother, I couldn’t remember anything at all. When I was at a loss for words, Mother smiled and hugged me, saying, ‘I love you.’ Me, a sinner . . .”“Mother didn’t even take a moment to rest. She was always with us and listened to the preaching of each and every member. Even through it all, Mother always smiled at us.”“Whenever Mother saw us, She said, ‘I love you. God bless you.’ So I thought to myself, ‘How many times did I tell my brothers and sisters, ‘I love you,’ and ‘God bless you’? From now on, I want to resemble Mother who is love.”Through touching look in their eyes, their tears, trembling voice and words, we could feel how much love they received from Mother. They said they had an amazing realization especially when they visited the Elohim Folk Village. To the people of India, Korea is known as a “rich country,” or a “well-off country.” So they probably thought that Korean houses would all be big and nice. However, they were shocked to see the replica of the house where Heavenly Father lived during His ministry on the earth. “The house was very small and humble. Do you know that in Korea the temperature often went down to -10℃ [14℉] in winter? In that freezing weather, Father lived in a chilly room and spent the winters with only two suits. Can you imagine how cold Father must have been? In such bad circumstances, Father worked hard only for us, preached the gospel . . . But I, I . . .”They said they were able to realize even a little bit of Father and Mother’s sacrifice which they had only heard about, when they saw that Heavenly Father and Mother lived and preached the gospel in the circumstances which were much inferior to theirs. And they also delivered touching emotions they received from the Korean members.“Korean members smile all the time. And they always treat us gently and warmly, saying, ‘Are you okay?’ or ‘God bless you.’ I learned many things from them. They were considerate of brothers and sisters with a humble attitude.”They emitted the fragrance of Zion with a sincerely repentant heart. I believed that all their pleasing aroma must have reached Mother. After sharing the fragrance of Zion, we all watched the video Mother granted us. It was the Biblical play “Act 3: Coronation Ceremony.” Since the play was dubbed in Hindi, the local members were all able to understand it without interpretation, and after watching it we shared our deep emotions. Mother, we truly give thanks to You for Your deep concern for the members in India. The Biblical play was enough to awaken our souls; it showed many types of characters?the one who received much reward by preaching the gospel diligently, the one who received compliments from God for enduring to the end even in persecution and suffering and for displaying the glory of God, the one whose reserved rewards were reduced because he was lazy and didn’t realize the value of the heavenly rewards, and the one who couldn’t even come to that place. Since we knew that this story was all about us, we straightened ourselves out and thought about what kind of attitude we should have toward the gospel. All the members of the Mumbai Zion, including those who joined the visiting group, try hard to repay Mother for Her grace by bearing much fruit. I truly give thanks to Mother for awakening our sleeping souls through the overseas visiting group members. Mother, here in India, we can also feel Your love that is quiet but great. We believe that You are always with us and give us strength wherever we are. Mother, You are our life and life itself. We love You, Mother!

Fragrance of Zion]-As a Child of God Who Follows Christ's Example

NATION USA
NAME Stephanie Deran

I never imagined that I would have the opportunity to travel to South Korea, let alone to meet God. Before I share a little about myself and my experience, I would like to thank our Father Christ Ahnsahnghong and our Heavenly Mother New Jerusalem for finally opening my eyes and allowing me to understand my purpose here on earth. I was raised in a Jewish family. But, unlike my cousins, even though I celebrated certain Jewish holidays, I never went to Hebrew school or learned much about Judaism at all. Growing up, I wasn't forced into religion and while I felt a little lost when I was younger. Now I realize that it was part of Mother and Father's plan for me. I was very uncomfortable when people discussed religion of any sort because I didn't know what to believe. I always said that I thought there must be a God but didn't know anything about Him. One day, at my former job, a coworker briefly mentioned her church and something from the Bible. Before I knew it, we were doing studies on our breaks and lunches. Little did I know that 6 months later I would be baptized for the first time in my life and into the truth no less. Once I studied the prophecies about Jesus, I couldn't deny that He was the Christ and was amazed that my ancestors could be so blind. Once I accepted Father at His first coming, the rest fell into place perfectly.I was baptized on March 4th, 2008 and from that day on I realized how much Mother and Father had completely changed my life. Thanks to Mother and Father, I was able to visit Korea last October. Honestly, I had no idea how I would feel when I was able to see Mother for the first time. It was surreal thinking about this opportunity, and a little overwhelming at the same time. When our bus arrived at Elohim that first night, Mother was right there waiting to greet us at the steps of the bus. It was difficult to breathe as She hugged me and told me She loved me. It took me a while to stop crying that first night. The next few days were completely different for me. I was content just seeing Mother in the room with us, and feeling the love She showed so freely. Her smile was contagious. She was so humble and gracious; She even served us soup one night during dinner. Our Heavenly Mother always made sure She set the perfect example for us. Why is it so hard for us to follow that example? Throughout my trip, I realized that there was so much more I needed to learn besides studying the Bible. Everywhere we went we were greeted with smiles and tears. It was an amazing feeling. I can say that I truly felt Mother's love through our Korean brothers and sisters. I had the opportunity to ask Mother for the strength to follow Her teachings and can only pray that I am able to love as unconditionally as They do. Above all, I learned how arrogant I can be and how much Mother and Father humbled Themselves to teach us the truth. During the trip, we saw the Church of God Museum and the replica of the house Father lived in and where He wrote our precious Truth Books. They endured so much hardship and persecution, so much more than most of us will ever experience in our short lives here. I felt horrible for complaining about petty things in my life, and realized that They already did everything for me. They sacrificed and endured through the toughest situations so that we can have no excuse. It is simple. I need to show Them the same love that They have shown me, by following Their example and preaching the truth that They suffered so much for, to restore for our salvation.

“We Bring the Love That We’ve Received From Mother to the World”

The 35th Overseas Visiting Group

ⓒ 2008 WATV
In July when it’s very hot and humid, the 35th Overseas Visiting Group flew into the arms of the new Jerusalem, the source of the cool refreshing water of life. This visiting group consisted of 194 overseas members from 47 branch Churches in 14 Asian countries and fulfilled one part of the prophecy.Despite the hot weather, the overseas visiting group members studied the truth every day at the Elohim Training Institute, and put on the full armor of the Holy Spirit, being filled with the words of the water of life. They also visited the Church of God History Museum and cherished the love and sacrifice of God Elohim deep in their hearts. ⓒ 2008 WATV
Mother took great care of each and every one of the overseas members and gave them words of encouragement. They had devoted themselves to preaching the gospel even in difficult circumstances, looking forward to the blessings of heaven, and they visited Korea this time in order to become the prophetic heroes. The visiting group members, who found great comfort under Mother’s wings of love, were overwhelmed to tears when they shared in the joy of reunion with the Korean brothers and sisters after attending worship services at the New Jerusalem Temple, the Seogu Church in Daejeon, and the Dongdaemun Church in Seoul. On their way back home, they firmly resolved to convey Mother’s voice of love and salvation to people all around the world, and lead all mankind to salvation, overcoming difficulties, as the great gospel workers

Ahnsahnghong]-Fragrance of Zion - Mother Never Let Me Go-

Mother Never Let Me Go

NATION USA
NAME Wendy Romero

I would like to begin this fragrance by giving all praise and thanks to my Saviors, Father Christ Ahnsahnghong and Mother Jerusalem. Without the great love of Father and Mother, I would not have purpose or meaning in life. Thank You for taking me out of Babylon and giving me the privilege of working for You, by preaching the new covenant of life and love. For many years of my life, my soul was being poisoned by the teachings of Babylon. My parents forced me to attend an all girls Catholic Middle and High School. I was being taught directly by nuns from the Catholic Church. I grew up, thinking that the father on earth was the Pope and the mother on earth was the Virgin Mary. How pitiful my life was! When I turned 13 years old, my older sister preached to me about idols and she took me to Zion for Bible studies. This was in the year 1999. The LA Church of God had been recently established in downtown LA. It looked more like a house than a church. I remember when I walked inside, Zion had a white carpet and there was a big white room with a table, chairs, and a white board. Everyone in the Church apart from a few Americans were Korean. Even the services were in Korean. The American brothers and sisters needed to wear headphones to hear the service as it was being translated by a sister in English. It was so different from all the other churches, but what I remember most is the love I felt from the people that greeted me. I learned about the Secret of the Forgiveness of Sins. After that, many months went by and my sister continuously preached to me. My heart was so hardened. I felt like I needed to give my allegiance to the Catholic Church. However, I couldn’t deny what was written in the Bible because it was so factual. It was really hard for me to accept that everything I ever believed in was a lie! I felt like my world came tumbling down before my eyes. When my parents found out that I attended the Church, they were very upset. However, I continued going to the Church of God, they made me go to a different Christian church. They thought the Church of God was a cult and wanted me to attend a different church and forget about Zion. Slowly but surely, I started to forget the true teachings of the Bible. 5 years passed by and the only truth that I could remember was the Sabbath Day and Cross Reverence is Idolatry. Those two teachings were enough to make me realize that all the churches that I attended were false because they had a cross or kept services on Sundays. I made a promise to God that when I turned 18 years old I would go back. During those 5 years I prayed to God to help me never forget the truth and to wait for me. The summer before I turned 18, I worked really hard, saved up money and bought my own car. It was the year 2004 and I graduated from high school. After 5 long years in confusion and doubt, I made a resolution to keep my promise and go back to Zion, but I had lost all contact with anyone who went to the Church. I drove by the Church in downtown LA, but the Church had moved from location and I didn’t know where it was. I looked for old pamphlets that I had saved from years ago and I found different phone numbers written on the back. As I called them, they turned out to be disconnected and wrong numbers. I looked on line and I couldn’t find the Church. I thought I was never going to find Zion again. I was giving up hope when all of a sudden I looked in an old box in my closet and found a picture of Father and Mother. I found a veil bag with 2 veils, a really old New Song Book, and another Church of God pamphlet with another phone number. I had forgotten that I had saved all of these things! I called the number on the back of the pamphlet and it was the phone number to the Church. The pastor answered the phone and gave me the Church’s address and the service times. The Church was about 45 minutes away from my house. I was so happy. Father and Mother allowed a great miracle to happen! That Friday I couldn’t sleep. I was so excited and nervous. I really hoped that when I went back to study the Bible, I wouldn’t find any discrepancies or contradictions in the Church’s teachings. That Saturday morning I filled my car with gas and drove to Zion. Now the Church was bigger and the service was in English and there were many American brothers and sisters. I walked into the morning service 15 minutes before the service began. The veil I put on was different than every one else’s and so was the New Song Book; my veil and New Song Book were outdated. I didn’t understand the sermon because I didn’t know what a lot of things meant and how they connected to one another. After the service, brothers and sisters approached me and asked who I was, I told them my story and they were all moved. They kept saying “Wow, what a miracle! After so many years you came back!”From that point on, I studied a lot and read Father’s books every night. I was so amazed by the truth. I could feel myself falling in love with God. Father and Mother allowed me to join the choir and I started to take course classes at Church so I could learn how to preach. Slowly but surely, my faith started growing and I had aspirations to be a gospel worker. In the year 2005 I was blessed with the opportunity to go visit Mother. After seeing Mother, my life changed. My faith skyrocketed and I bore many fruits. And even my fruits bore fruit! Also, with the help of Father and Mother, I was able to overcome every single obstacle. Through so much struggle, I became strong enough to take on heavy loads and many burdens, to depend solely on God, and a burning desire to go to heaven where there is no more pain and suffering developed within me. I learned to appreciate and not complain because my suffering could never compare to that of Father and Mother. Thank You, Father and Mother, for not leaving me behind. How could I keep You in my heart, being so young and having no real understanding? Now, looking back, I realize that You never let me go. You held on to me and patiently waited for me to come back to Your loving arms. Thank You for holding on to me and giving me the strength to overcome all the hardships. Mother and Father, I owe You my whole life. I will repay Your love by preaching this gospel and finding my lost brothers and sisters. I pray all of the heavenly children may unite in the world evangelism and speed Father’s Coming, shorten Mother’s suffering, and not allow anything to get in the way to the Kingdom of Heaven.

True Happiness Found in Mother

NATION USA
NAME Paula Silson

Where do I begin? There were so many scenarios in my head about what it would be like to see Mother. I had seen the videos and heard many fragrances. I felt as though I could imagine what it was like. This could not have been further from the truth, even though my whole life was preparing me for this moment, I had no idea how much my perspective would change in just ten short days. No words can describe the feeling you get just being in the same room as Mother. Even now as I try to write the only term that comes to my mind is inexpressible. I could only imagine that it was like how heaven must be no worries or cares, only trying to take in every moment and keep it somehow. Before coming to the truth, I was so worldly, only having physical goals: Like how I could make more money, how I could have the best stuff, anything to make myself happy. I didn’t realize the whole time there was nothing I could do that could make me happy. Father and Mother called me out of darkness and into Their light in January of 2007; They brought me into true happiness. Even though my husband had preached to me for nearly 6 years, I continued to judge and persecute and hold onto my physical life. Father and Mother full of love were so patient with this rebellious child. For this patience and mercy I am eternally thankful to my Heavenly Parents. Visiting Korea, I knew there was so much I wanted to thank Mother for, also so much I wanted to apologize for.In the days leading up to the trip, I began to think what it was that I really wanted to learn in Korea. I felt like I lacked understanding in so many areas though I had knowledge. So whereas I knew Father and Mother loved us, I wanted to understand how much. In my heart if this was accomplished, then I truly learned something worth sharing. My prayers were answered when some of the sacrifice our Parents made was revealed to us. I knew They left Their heavenly thrones and came to this earth, bound by the flesh. However, because this sacrifice is in a realm which we cannot conceive, They sacrificed more. They forsook all things?food, warmth and sleep, and the list went on an on. How could this be possible? Only because They are God and because of the love They have for Their children, it is possible. Learning how much They had given up for our eternal life was something that weighed so heavily on my heart. I felt so ashamed for taking my salvation for granted and not thinking about the path that Father and Mother walked in order that I may receive it.As the days passed by, I began to see Mother differently. In the beginning I could only think about Her as God who knows all things, but then I started to see Her as my Mother who has loved me from creation despite my many imperfections. Mother never hesitated to tell us how much She loved us or grab our hand if the opportunity was available, anything to demonstrate to us Her love, even listening to nearly one hundred brothers and sisters practice preaching, always encouraging and smiling, making you feel so comfortable. Before we left, Mother earnestly prayed for Her children to receive strength to endure in these last days. Though I came to Korea with curiosity, I left with certainty that Father and Mother are God Almighty and They love us so much and also that with Them all things are possible. Now returning back to the states, I want to hold onto all the blessing and love that Mother gave me and shine Her glory to the world. Though only a portion of this gospel work is left to be complete, I pray that all of my brothers and sisters receive the Holy Spirit and work diligently till we can be together with our Heavenly Father and Mother and live in unity with perfect happiness eternally

Ahnsahnghong]-Fragrance of Zion

God’s Love Melted My Hardened Heart

First and foremost I would like to give thanks, honor and glory to Father and Mother for allowing me to go to Korea. This trip was truly a blessing. I have been in the truth for two years and due to many obstacles, I was not able to go to Korea until last October. Thanks to the help of my brothers and sisters, it was possible. While in Korea, I learned many valuable lessons. First is my knowledge and understanding of Father and Mother, secondly love and patience and thirdly, obedience. When I first arrived in Korea and met Mother for the first time, I was very nervous, even to the point of not being able to talk. It was more of a shock than anything else. My reaction was not what I had expected, so I was a little disappointed. As I looked around, I noticed that some brothers and sisters were shedding tears. As the days went on, Mother made more appearances and still I had no reaction at all, just a numb feeling. So every day I would pray to Father and Mother to allow me to really understand who God is. My teacher told me that if we look at only the physical appearances and not the spiritual side, we cannot see the glory of Mother. Finally on the Sabbath day, I was able to see the glory of Mother. The tears just came from out of nowhere. It was the most wonderful feeling in the world. How blissful it was to know that I was in the presence of God in the flesh. The love that was seen while in Korea was remarkable. Every day our Korean brothers and sisters took really good care of us. It started from the moment we arrived at the airport and up until the time we left. They rushed to carry our bags and even provided us with a meal. If we were sick, they came running to help by providing medicine and comforting. They got up early to prepare breakfast for us and they also worked really hard sacrificing their time to prepare all of our meals. They made sure that we had everything that we needed. I could feel the love of Mother through them because it is a part of Mother’s teaching that we should love one another by serving each other. While in Korea, we saw a play about why we were cast out of heaven to the earth. Even though it was just a small portion of what we did in heaven, it was enough to help us understand our sinful nature. When we were in heaven, Satan deceived us and tricked us into eating the forbidden fruit. This fruit consists of hate, envy, jealousy, etc. By eating the fruit we disobeyed our Father and Mother and we began to quarrel with one another. However the most important lesson from this play is that even though we were cast down to this earth, we still carry those same sinful characteristics. So in order for us to go back to heaven, we must cleanse ourselves of these sinful things. By cleansing ourselves, we are being obedient to our Father and Mother. They left Their heavenly throne and came down to this earth in the flesh, sacrificing Themselves, to show us how we can have salvation. Just being in Korea and seeing the terrain features of that country, Father and Mother endured many sufferings, walking in the rain, snow and up and down the mountains. Now that I know how difficult it was, it saddens my heart to know that I caused Them all this suffering. Since my return from Korea, I have decided to work harder. All the excuses that I had are unacceptable for not doing the gospel work. I have made more of an effort to attend preaching meetings. I preach the gospel even more at work and wherever I go. I have made a plan to preach to my physical family; hopefully through the gospel, we will be able to join hands as brothers and sisters. I haven’t borne any new fruits since being back, but I know I need to be patient and not give up hope. When the time is right, Father and Mother will allow me to bear fruit. I give praise, honor, and glory to Father and Mother for allowing me to know this precious truth every day.
